ADEA connects with global diabetes leaders at IDF World Diabetes Congress

11 April 2025—The Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) was proud to be represented at the IDF World Diabetes Congress 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, by ADEA President Ann Bush and Manager of Education and Professional Services Natasha Veech.

While at the congress, Ms Bush and Ms Veech met with international colleagues including the Thailand Association of Diabetes Educators, Sir Michael Hirst (Co-Chair, Parliamentarians for Diabetes Global Network), and members of the Indonesia contingent.

These connections support ADEA’s commitment to advancing diabetes education and improving the lives of people affected by diabetes.

ADEA also took the opportunity to promote the upcoming IDF Western Pacific Region Congress, which will be held with the Australasian Diabetes Congress from 18–21 August 2026. More information here.

The knowledge and relationships gained at IDF 2025 will help strengthen the role of Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDEs) and enhance diabetes care in Australia.
