What is a CDE?
A Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) is a health professional with specialist knowledge and expertise in the field of diabetes education. CDEs help people living with diabetes as well as people who have been diagnosed with prediabetes. They also support carers and guardians of people living with diabetes. CDEs complement General Practitioners (GPs) to provide specialised holistic expertise in diabetes care and management, which is vital for educating people to successfully self-manage their diabetes.​​​​
Our Find a CDE tool ​consists a list of Credentialled Diabetes Educators who have agreed to have their contact details made available to the general public. It is not a full list of all Credentialled Diabetes Educator services throughout Australia - there may be services such as hospitals, community health centres etc that may not be listed here. Please speak with your GP, local council, Primary Health Network etc about services in your area.
