Guidelines and standards

The Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) is Australia’s peak professional association representing diabetes educators and other health care professionals providing services to people with or at risk of diabetes and their families and carers. Our aim is to promote evidenced – based best practice diabetes education and to contribute to equitable access to quality diabetes education and care. Development and dissemination of standards of practice in diabetes education and guidelines for diabetes care, management and education is one of the strategies ADEA employs to achieve this aim. The ADEA has also included a listing and access links to national and international guidelines for diabetes education and care in this section.
