Working with other health professionals in NWHHS and other health service providers in Mount Isa and across NW Queensland, the Diabetes Service sees hospital inpatients, outpatients and members of the NW Queensland community on referral from other health service providers or on self referral. We provide comprehensive diabetes self-management education, assessment and support. We deliver services through face to face, telephone, telehealth and email consultations in Mount Isa and on visits to other towns and remote communities.

Services are provided free of charge.

During periods of COVID Restrictions some services may not be available.
