Persons with an interest in diabetes and health care professionals practising in speciality fields other than that of diabetes education and care or in the generalist care setting are invited to join the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) as associate members.
Associate members have access to the ADEA members’ website, receive the Australian Diabetes Educator and are entitled to membership discounts when ordering ADEA publications or joining events. Associate members can attend Branch and National meetings.
Associate members cannot participate in elections, hold Branch or National Office Bearer positions or apply for ADEA recognition as a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (Credentialling). However, associate members may upgrade their membership to full ADEA membership once the 12 months Associate Membership has expired by contacting the ADEA National Office.
All applications are subject to the approval of the ADEA National Board.
Electronic only renewal reminders will be forwarded before membership expiry. Membership renewal is available online.
Effective from Friday 1 July 2017, the combined joining and membership fee for associate ADEA members is $298.00 (includes GST). Annual renewal fee for associate ADEA members is $180.00 (includes GST).
