The Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) is Australia’s peak professional association representing diabetes educators and other health care professionals providing services to people with or at risk of diabetes and their families and carers. Our aim is to promote evidenced-based best practice diabetes education and to contribute to equitable access to quality diabetes education and care. Development of information sheets and position statements in relation to diabetes care, management and education is one of the strategies ADEA employs to achieve this aim.
