This World Diabetes Day, ADEA joins with the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) to call on policymakers to:
We know that here in Australia people have access to one of the best health systems in the world; however, this isn’t enough. Currently, nearly 2 million people in Australia are living with diabetes, a number expected to rise further in the coming years. To reduce the impact of diabetes on an already overburdened health system and improve the lives of all people impacted by diabetes, we must provide world-leading diabetes care in every sense. Every person living with diabetes should know their diabetes care team, understand how a CDE can help them, and receive an annual cycle of care.
That is why ADEA is committed to continuing to push for our three legislative goals this year:
Read our election campaign to learn more about our legislative goals and why we join with IDF in fighting for improved access to CDEs #educationtoprotect.
