ADEA is currently conducting a review of CDE education pathways and programs to further ensure and promote CDEs as the specialist in diabetes education and alleviate issues of scope of practice for the CDE workforce. ADEA, alongside an expert reference group and key stakeholders, will work to address any education gaps and inconsistencies to align academic and other education programs to the specialist role of a CDE.
We would like to invite you to participate in this important research by sharing your views on the Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education course, national competencies, role and scope of practice, credentialling and the professional development of CDEs.
The research findings will help facilitate education program change and development to ensure standardisation and a contemporary skills base for all CDEs in Australia.
Participation in this research involves completing a 20-30 minute online survey. Participants are eligible to claim 1 CPD point upon completion. The survey will remain open until 9am Monday 7th September 2020
